Extracurricular Activities
LFIC offers numerous extracurricular activities every weekday.

We are committed to providing diverse sports, language, and cultural activities to enrich each student's academic journey. Students may enroll in language activities to complement LFIC's language programs while discovering new recreational pursuits: sports, arts, and games for all ages.

We additionally offer supervised study sessions to ensure homework completion before leaving campus. Activity enrollment is by term for maximum flexibility. All programs are led by our teachers or experienced professionals.
  • Kindergarten Happy Hours
    Concludes each day with storybook reading and games. Supervised by early childhood teaching assistants (ATSEM).
  • Mandal'Art
    Learn to create mandalas on diverse surfaces (stones, canvas, floors, walls). Stimulates imagination while relaxing through doodling.
  • Crochet
    Creates fabric by interlocking yarn loops. Enables crafting various items: garments, accessories, bags, plush toys. Open to complete beginners and experienced learners from CE1 (Grade 2) onward.
  • Homework Support
    One-hour nightly sessions for homework, revision, and exercises. Supervised by school teachers. Additional teacher assigned when reaching 10 enrollees.
    Minimum 5 enrollees to open.
  • French Style Tennis
    Programme dispens selon la pedagogie Galaxy tennis de la Federation Francaise de Tennis (FFT) assure par Bruno Riviere entraineur diplome d’tat ( DEJEPS).
  • Drama Club
    A la decouverte du sixieme art. Sous la protection de la muse Thalie, les acteurstravailleront Iart de la comedie avec des pieces du repertoire classique de Moliere. Humourmais aussi serieux et application seront de rigueur.
  • Chess Club
    This engaging board game helps develop concentration, analytical skills, as well as logical and strategic thinking. Students participating in this club will also have the opportunity to represent LFIC in chess tournaments abroad against other AEFE schools.
  • Wednesday afternoon for the young ones
    An afternoon tailored for our youngest students, adapted to their pace.
    This AES (School Educational Activity) takes place over the entire afternoon (1:30 PM to 4:30 PM). It begins with a nap time, just like a full school day (reserved for PS/Petite Section*).
    The second time slot offers a variety of activities that align with the key learning areas of kindergarten. Play-based learning is emphasized (open to all kindergarten students).
  • Cuisine
    Here's an activity for both young and old! There's no age limit for pampering your taste buds.
  • Arts and Handicrafts
    Give freedom to your imagination... Compose and play with patterns and colors, create objects and gifts to delight others and yourself... this is the special benefit our creative handicraft class provides!
  • Football-coach international
    Educational Objectives:

    Guide children toward autonomy in their sport
    Develop psychomotor skills and coordination

    Teach game principles including: Respect for rules and opponents, Teamwork with peers, Emotional management through competitive and collaborative games

    Support holistic development as athletes and young individuals, Establish foundational life skills for their future.
  • Crossfit
    CrossFit Kids is a fun, game-based physical activity program featuring interval training workshops specially designed for children. This program enhances health, fitness, coordination, and self-esteem for kids of all ages!
  • Ukulele
    Through learning the ukulele, students will acquire music theory knowledge and playing techniques, enhancing their musical perception and understanding. Participation in the ukulele ensemble fosters teamwork, mutual appreciation, and cooperative skills among children.
  • Multisport
    Explore and engage in various team games and sports to stay active while developing game strategies, following rules, and taking on different roles.
  • Recitation in Chinese
    Reading aloud outstanding literary works (such as poetry and prose) helps accumulate cultural knowledge. It teaches how to convey emotions through voice.
    This practice trains pronunciation accuracy, improves intonation and rhythm sense, and enhances artistic perception. It also develops verbal expression skills and builds confidence in public speaking.
  • Advanced English
    Do you want to better understand the world you? Would you like to know more about English-speaking countries? Look no further! You’ll get to practice English while learning about a broad range of topics: history, geography and even science!
  • Art and Handicrafts for kindergarten students
    We will introduce children to various artists, guide them in creating artworks, and conduct age-appropriate craft activities tailored to your child's developmental stage. These artistic endeavors stimulate imagination, foster self-expression, and particularly activate children's creative thinking. The program also provides opportunities to learn about master artists while expanding French vocabulary related to art themes.
  • Paper Art and Crafts
    Includes paper crafts such as origami, paper cutting, quilling, and paper sculpture.
  • Scratch Workshop
    Would you like to create your own interactive games, animations, or stories? Discover Scratch - a fun and easy-to-use programming platform!
    With Scratch, you'll learn coding by assembling blocks like puzzle pieces. Our learning group will help you develop creativity, logical thinking, and teamwork skills while having fun. Explore the world of programming and become a true digital creator!
  • Board Game Workshop
    Board Game Workshop, play together with classmates, develop strategies, learn game rules, and enjoy the fun of thinking!
  • Chinese bookclub
    Children's Chinese bookclub,through lively and interesting stories as well as diverse teaching activities, help children learn Chinese language knowledge, cultivate reading interest and language expression ability, and gain an understanding of Chinese culture.
  • Chinese Handicraft Class
    The children's Chinese handicraft class combines handicrafts with Chinese language, allowing children to "learn by playing" and not only feel the joy of creation, but also naturally accumulate language and cultural knowledge.
  • Business Club
    Interested in finance? Join the Business Club to explore the stock market, real estate, startups, personal development and entrepreneurship. Through workshops, discussions and strategy sessions, build your financial future. All levels welcome!
  • Animation Dubbing and Comic Creation
    Each session begins with introducing a new animated film. We then use muted film clips with scrolling subtitles, where students practice synchronizing their voices with character lip movements and adding emotional intonation. This fun activity enhances French vocabulary and emotional expression while boosting young actors' confidence.
    Simultaneously, students create comics related to the film's theme. While one group dubs the film, others develop comic scripts and illustrate their ideas using light tablets.
  • Guitar
    Set off on a journey with your guitar to listen to the world's diverse music. Explore musical expression and the beauty of ensemble playing through teamwork.
  • French Language Introduction for Adults
    If you want to start learning French in an effective and enjoyable way, welcome to our beginner-friendly French course for adults! This course is designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to the French language through clear and structured content.
  • Role-Playing Games
    This activity enhances French language skills through play, stimulates creativity and imagination, and fosters problem-solving and teamwork. During this AES session, children will have the opportunity to collaboratively create an exciting adventure story, utilizing their imagination to develop these competencies.
  • Art in Style
    Immerse yourself in the world of an artist or artistic movement: I invite you to discover artworks, draw inspiration from them, and adopt various styles to create your own little masterpieces.
  • Extended Hour Program for Kindergarten
    An additional daily hour for play and learning in preschool.
    • Conducted by our bilingual teaching assistants
    • Free service for kindergarteners enrolled in school transportation with a single departure at 4:40PM
  • Games for learning Chinese
    Learn and reinforce Chinese characters, vocabulary, and sentence patterns through games – making education entertaining.
  • SKF Pulse Program: Three Sports, One Energy
    This program introduces three dynamic team sports—spikeball, Kin-Ball, and ultimate frisbee—designed to enhance the physical education curriculum at the French School of Guangzhou.
    Tailored for students aged 6 to 11 (CP to CM2 grades), it fosters psychomotor development, coordination, and mental skills while nurturing a love for movement and teamwork.
