LFIC is a multicultural international school catering to multiple nationalities within our community. Our school offers multilingual education in French, English, and Chinese starting from the first year of kindergarten.
We offer an ambitious and tailored language pathway: P.A.R.L.E (Parcours Adaptés et renforcé de langues étrangères/Adapted and Enhanced Foreign Language Pathways). Designed by the AEFE (Agency for French Education Abroad), the PARLE program aims to qualitatively strengthen students’ linguistic training and enhance their proficiency in a modern foreign language.
This pathway combines ability-based English instruction (grouped by proficiency level) and CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning in English, where subjects like science, art, or physical education are taught in English). It is further enriched by extracurricular activities, allowing families to reinforce their child’s language development in either English or Chinese.
Families may choose between Full English PARLE Pathway or Chinese+ Pathway. While maintaining a significant number of English instruction hours, the Chinese+ Pathway includes one weekly art class taught in Chinese. This pathway deepens students’ understanding of Chinese culture and provides additional practice in spoken and written Chinese.
To complement these two in-school pathways, LFIC offers extracurricular activities in English and Chinese. Starting in lower secondary school, students can advance their Chinese proficiency through pathways tailored to their level: Chinese as a Modern Foreign Language (MFL) or Chinese+ Pathway.
