An Exceptional Global Network
The French International School of Guangzhou (LFIC) is part of the world's largest educational network, the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE, serving over 600,000 students). Every AEFE school delivers excellence through a curriculum aligned with French national standards. Thanks to this network, our students can seamlessly continue their education—from kindergarten to the French Baccalauréat — at any AEFE school worldwide, while benefiting from a vibrant exchange ecosystem (sports competitions, cultural exchanges, study trips).
Language Learning at the Heart of Our Mission
LFIC is both a French and international school. We prioritize profound language acquisition, embedding trilingualism (French, English, and Chinese) into daily life through diverse and personalized language pathways. Starting in lower secondary school Grade 7 (equivalent to French 5ème), students may study Spanish, German, and choose Latin as an optional subject. LFIC also offers intensive French support for non-native speakers through our FLSCO Program (French as a Language of Schooling).
A Unique Multicultural Environment
LFIC welcomes students from over 26 nationalities, spanning from kindergarten to high school. This extraordinary multicultural setting fosters a deep understanding of diverse values, cultural practices, and global perspectives. Our families, teachers, and staff hail from around the world, creating a vibrant and inclusive community. We prepare students to thrive as global citizens.
A Wide Range of Extracurricular Activities
LFIC offers diverse sports and cultural extracurricular activities (AES) in French, English, or Chinese for students from kindergarten to high school, enabling them to explore passions and stay active. Our sports association allows students to join teams and engage in event organization starting from Grade 4 (CM1).
LFIC empowers students to take initiative, make decisions, and develop autonomy and teamwork skills. Elementary students can be elected to the School Government, while secondary students lead the CVLC (Student Life Council), managing project and budgetary decisions. Upper secondary school students may also apply to become Editor-in-Chief or Creative Director of the school newspaper, leading a student-driven editorial team.
