It is vital that all members of the educational community, teachers and parents alike, work together to ensure that the start of this new schooling experience is a complete success. As parents, you have a decisive role to play. This charter explains your role, as well as also explain what LFIC implements to help you child adapt as quickly as possible.
Every non-French-speaking student newly enrolled at LFIC receives intensive language support (minimum 4 hours weekly) to enter French proficiency. Objectives are clearly defined and measurable: achieving CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) Level A1 as swiftly as possible.
This support is delivered during school hours by teachers certified in FLE (French as a Foreign Language) and FLSco (French as a Language of Schooling).
